We all knew what the concept of 2 super-powers such as Kanye and Jay on a single project would mean to the record industry. Once they announced the tour it opened up the flood gates to so many creative and marketing ideas that I'm sure will be in advertising text books for years to come. The 'Watch the Throne' project is a perfect example of knowing the consumer and testing the limits on brand loyalty. With above average ticket prices for a hip-hop tour and exclusive releases with Best Buy and iTunes, Jay and Kanye put the power back into the artist's hands. The only way they are able to command such respect business wise is because creatively they are their own strongest investment. Their art delivers...every...time.

"Entertainment is the new social media. The perfect synthesis of : artist, brand and fans, where technology is the delivery system, and the deeply engaged consumer is the ultimate price"
